Hey guys! I'm writing to ask you to be in prayer for my mom, Lisa Bannister. They discovered a lump that has turned out to be breast cancer. She is going in today for a lumpectomy (to remove the lump) but depending on what they find, it may turn into a mastectomy. Mom has been really brave through all of this and has remained positive, but she is really scared today. The surgery will be at 1 PM today. Thanks for praying.

Funny how this thread just popped up. I'm having a difficult time. In May I lost my mom to suicide.. I had lost my father to it when I was a freshman in high school. Yesterday was her birthday and I'm so down.. I wasn't expecting to react the way I am.. We did not end on good terms (due to her being bipolar). And now I just think of how much of my life she's going to miss out on (I'm only 33).. and that I'm so angry with her and her choices. Both parents decided to end their own lives.. It sucks

I said a prayer for the last few posters here.

Asking for prayer for my wife and unborn child. Wife has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 2 years ago. We finally found a combination of meds that had her doing really well, and then we found out she was pregnant with our second child. So she had to go off of the meds due to them not being researched with pregnancy.

She hasn't really been able to function so she started back on one of the meds (lower dose). She's a little better but it has only been a couple of weeks.

Please pray that she does not have to continue increasing dosages or add additional meds, and that whatever she does take not effect the baby in any serious/permanent way. Also that she remain positive, as all of this has caused her to become anxious/depressed.

Please pray for my 5 year old -Winston is his name. He was born with a very bad birth defect and goes in for his 22nd surgery early oct. It's a terrifying surgery and the outcome will be his airway will be blocked and unable to breath on his own for a while during recovery. And please pray for my RBTA to stay still - thank you in advance

I have read the last three pages of this thread and I want you guys to know, that even though it may have been several months since you have asked for prayers that I'm still praying for you. I know the hurt can last years and resurface, it helps in those times to pray for one another or just to let each other know that you're there for them when they're days are dark. I'll also say that I'm here if anyone would like to vent or talk about anything at all. But if you get me on fish that we may talk for hours on end haha.

I know I've placed at least one post on this thread so I'll update. I have finished college and so has my roommate, which is great. Please pray that we may find jobs in our field that will be the best for us. I had an interview this past Friday, please pray that I may get the job.

My roommate's grandmother was doing somewhat better, but now things have taken a turn for the worst. Her kidneys stopped functioning and she's being transferred from the hospital to a nursing home. She still has her mind, so its very taxing for her. Please pray that her kidneys start back up, as she's like a grandmother to me as well (both of mine died when I was really young). I would love if she could be at our graduation, but the ceremony isn't until February and its quite frightening to think that she may be only be there in spirit. Please pray for her to get better or something, all I know is no one is ready for this stage in her life where her body starts shutting down. Please pray that we get more time with her and perhaps the strength to come to terms with her end of life stage(s).

To end on a positive note, I'm thankful for the following:
1. finding communities like this to 'escape' to and find some really friendly people
2. Being done with college and ready to enter the IT career field
3. Having great rl people to chat with
4. Being alive and healthy
5. That today, I have all the necessities in life and feel safe.

My budgie, Jack, who passed away from a broken neck.
He was my baby, and he died minutes ago in my hands.
I have so many memories with him. I'm in tears, I wish I could tell him how much he meant to me.
I hope his soul can now rest

Oh my, so sorry. Budgie's are little birds right? Kind of like parrotlets? So sorry Oscaror for your loss. Its super painful to have to watch a pet slip away right before you. I had to do the same with my dachshund when he broke his back. God bless you and Jack. I'm sure he is at rest.

Yes, they're little birds.
Thank you very much, I'm building him a grave right now.
Just carving the cross and then need to paint it.
It just won't ever be the same without him.

First of all, thank you for your prayers. My gf's grandmother is home now from rehab after having kidney failure so hopefully things will be brighter.

Hi everyone I have been away for awhile due to battle with cancer I've been fighting since 04 stage 4 kidney cancer. The wife was also diagnosed with cancer had surgery n is clear now a true blessing to give thanks for. Today we are at U of M cancer center for surgery on me this am. I know I am in my father's hands n there we are safe. I ask for prayers of peace for my family as the day goes n to guide the drs as they are the tool the Lord uses to help heal us n care for us. I am a blessed man and give thanks to our Lord Jesus for his gift. Thank you and God bless..........Steve

Hello, My dad is a Cancer patient. Had surgery on 2011 and 2014 and already completed his Chemo couple of months ago and results are very good. Please pray that his cancer will not spread and there will be no other serious health condition will occur. Thank you.
