The water was really cloudy from the sand and the miracle mud in the fuge. I ran the alpha 200 and now the water is crystal clear! I forgot how awesome that skimmer is.

I gutted the T5/ MH fixture that I want to use. The Hydras will fit in there perfectly!

I can't decide if I want to hang the fixture or build a canopy.

Ok! Got the zeo reactor going today and I started the zeovit 14 day cycle. The zeo reactor is being fed by the independent manifold which is powered by a Deep Blue DC pump.

Tank is on day 6 of the zeovit 14 day cycle. No algae yet. I'll add the first fish in 4 days. I opened the curtains so natural light can hit the tank. Still can't believe how clear the water is.

Also got some new toys to build the frame for the canopy.

I worked as a cabinet maker for many years. Be safe, if something feels dangerous in your gut it probably is. Respect that equipment, they can do serious damage quick. Be very careful with that biscuit joiner I know a couple guys that chewed off fingers with those they are very dangerous. Congrats on the tank! That thing is looking sweet!

great advise! I did a practice shadow box and learned what to do different next time. I've used a miter saw and a table saw in the past and its not and the cuts aren't too different for cutting steel. The biscuit jointer I used for the first time with the shadow box and I accidentally used the wrong size groove. Never used a jointer plained before but iv'e been watching a lot of youtube videos. I just got to remember safety first and always be aware of the blades.

Nice toys! I've been picking up a couple of new wood-working toys as well, but nothing that cool. I'm still very much a noob to carpentry.
