Getting an algae bloom now. 14 day cycle is complete and I have an anemone,a few zoas, sps, lps, and 2 chalices in the tank with a pair of Banggai cardinals and 4 chromis.

I put the ATS online today. I set it up in the refugium

I have one of those check valves, never had an issue. Of course my sump is in the basement. So when power goes out to my Iwaki 70RLT there is plenty of back flow. They are meant to be cleaned periodically.

Very clean build! I like the color combo.
I'm curious about your overflow plumbing. I would have run one pipe at an angle instead of the two 90 and two unions. Is there a reason you did it the way you did?

That's why I bought it. I like that it fully disassembles in order to clean it. It hasn't failed since. I wonder what the issue was

Thanks! I did the plumbing that way for two reasons. I want the plumbing to be removable in sections for cleaning and I want to be able to change things up if the need should a raise. The other reason is to get the drain out of the way of the manifold.

Got my order from 80/20 inc today so I got to hang 2 of the three Hydras. I got a few pieces coming in a couple days to take care of the wires but this is what I have so far

Here's what I'm using to hang the bar

Transferred most of the corals I'm keeping and the Copper Band. I was afraid that it would stop eating but as soon as I threw pellets in there it went after them. I also added a purple tang and an Achilles today. Both started grazing as soon as I threw them in. The purple ate pellets while in the bucket. Hopefully these guys do well.

Thought I'd post some shots with natural sunlight. So the tank gets sunlight on one side in the morning and the other side gets it in the afternoon. The whole tank ends up getting sunlight throughout the day. Some of these coral are looking way better than in my 40G. I guess the LED/T5/Natural sunlight is working. Even the fish look awesome in natural sunlight!
