Okay... who plays Golf?

well, it's that time here in MI... we're probably gonna go on the course for the first time tomorrow or Sat... I started golfing again late last year to spend more time with my dad... and we got my older brother into it too... and my younger brother just got back from the Philippines and he golfs too... finally, my mom bought her own clubs as well... and the icing on the cake, our office used to be a golf pro shop so behind the offices is the golf range... LoLz... I don't have an excuse... :)

anyway, I'm just excited for the warm weather... this will hopefully be my 1st full season of golf... I started in 1999, bought the whole shabang (clubs, woods, bag, shoes, etc... 1k+ bill... but didn't use them much)... since this is a great time to spend time with the boyz, I'm excited again... I think I'll be golfing with the fam for a while... :D

so, who plays golf? :wink:

It's my favorite for sure. Been playing most of my life - you would think I would be pretty good by now...but no...lol I just love getting out on the course.

btw, I'm not good... LoLz... but I enjoy the challenge and the time with my brothers and Dad... my dad is getting up there in age and I wanna spend more time with him... :)

alright... just went 18 holes Friday and 9 holes Sat... forgot to grab the score sheet Friday but got a 41 on a par 30 (only (3) par 4; (6) par 3) 9 hole course Sat... only 1 par... LoLz... we would've gone 18 holes but it started raining... then when we got home, sun was out... I was 1.5 miles away from the course... almost went back... :wink:

did anyone else go out Fri or Sat... or plan on going Sun? can't go Easter Sunday coz parent's are having a party... Happy Easter everyone.... :bigsmile:

i usto think golf was a great way to mess up a walk but with age i see the wizdom of chasing the tiny white ball.sometimes we even have a few brews lol.

Well Marv...I to went out on Friday for the first time...and I actually played well...missed a few putts but was making good contact..Overall I was happy considering it was my first time out in two years.. Last year I was nursing a torn Achilles which put me out for the summer...But cant wait till play all summer...

What courses you play in Michigan? Did you ever make it out to the Buick Open? I live not to far away from the course so it sucks not seeing the Tour every summer...lol

I bet Mark Twain would not mind driving around a battery operated cart while tossing back some cocktails. I love to golf even though I am dangerous at it, with strokes of brilliance mixed in. Good quality time spent with my grandfather and uncles.

I play basketball all my life but recently took up golf.. love it and addicted.. Anyone ever come to socal please hit me up.. i wouldnt mind playing a round with you fellow reefers.. maybe wager a couple frags. . =)

Sorry had to post it, one of the funniest movies ever IMO! I played a few weeks ago I had 2 birdies on the front 9 and still managed to shoot a 118! Yeah i'm a tad bit rusty! On a funny note I really do walk up and drive the ball.

Id have to say it is the best sport I have ever played but I didnt always feel that way probably because I suck at it. My brother has been golfing 26 years & started in jr golf man is he good. .It is hard to take when he gets a par or birdie every hole but then my dad started playing with us & I could actually beat him lol.We can play year round here & have a 6700 yard 18 hole course here & can ride for $16 the course is crap but good practice if you dont loose your ball in one of the thousands of gopher holes. We call it wack a mole some days. But really its just great to get out there with my brother & dad. Happy Easter to all & Good golfing
