Hi all, I'm struggling deciding on lighting time in my jbj 24g nano aquarium. I have a small zoanthid colony at a low level and a torch coral at the high end of the middle portion of the tank.
The torch coral has been losing color, going from purple to a brown. I first noticed this one evening when I'd realized that I left my white lights on from early morning and I saw the torch expelling what I'll guess is purple zooxanthellae.
So I have since cut back on the white light, but I'm not sure if I've cut back too much. It's only a total of 30 watts I think. I have whites and blues but I have to be there to change up the colors.
Right now I have it set to turn the blue lighting on at noon, and then we will flip the whites on when we get home between 6 and 9 and leave the whites on for 6 hours.
Any feedback or suggestions on this rotation? Too much light, too little? What would you do? I'm sticking with the cheap stock lighting while I focus on my main display being built in the living room.
