Bought this 100 gal about 6 months ago from an old mans living room, had seen better days so I wanted to post my progress from the last 6 months. Only remaining fish was an older clown so I gave him a friend along with some blue/green chromis's. If you guys have any stocking/coral ideas I would really appreciate it, need something non territorial that eats green hair algae as you can see it has taken over the tank. Take a look let me know what you think, see ya

You'll have to vacuum the substrate to get it looking nice and white but probably my absolute favorite algae eating fish would be an Eibli Angelfish (Five Stripe Angel) They're pretty shy and are reef safe with caution. They can nip at clams I've heard but in my experience they're fantastic for a litany of algae types like bryopsis, hair algae. They're little lawnmowers. I actually don't have algae anymore because of my own. But it deeply scares me and I try to feed it mixed meaty foods and chopped up Nori twice a day because there's not much left for him to graze anymore. I've even recently started culturing algae in my sump so I can just throw a rock into the display for him to munch on.
