So I'm finally upgraded from my 24 cube to a 70 cubish tank. My 24 has been going great for a year now. Fortunately I've escaped any major algea outbreaks. My question is.... as I begin to cycle the 70, is there any benefit in using a couple gallons of water from the established tank to help the process?
All parameters are in line, but I run higher nitrates because of my corals. All fish, corals and inverts have been happy. In the year I've had the the 24, I've only lost one fish, and he jumped out of the tank.
