I turned off my pumps last night to do some maintenance and forgot to turn it back on. It is plugged into a bar that also has my heater plugged into it. I got up this morning and my temp was down to 72. Surprisingly, everything is ok. This is one of those OMG moments.

The no-flow all night was much more potentially dangerous to your tank than a temp of 72. No flow means no oxygen, people have reported waking up to deaths in the morning from forgetting to turn the pumps back on.

Glad everything is ok! I agree though, lack of flow for that long results in little oxygen being exchanged into your tank.

Scary, glad everything is ok though. Bullet dodged

I did have some flow with the wavemakers on. Thank Goodness!
