Well I made it a year! Have dreamed of having a saltwater tank all my life and took the plunge January 2019. Did a lot of reading (not enough) and added saltwater in November 2018.
found out “saltwater” didn’t quite equal saltwater tank... did a lot more reading upon reading.. upon reading, went through 2 crashes and finally figured out how it all works. So I think. Still have lots to learn. And I have a new bigger tank in the works. Here’s my reef so far. I like it, can’t wait for the upgrade. I will post a build thread on the new tank but still has a lot of work ahead of it (taking down a wall in my house, reinforcement of floor, lots of money in gear ect...)
If only I could bring myself to stop buying coral :) side note: if you would like to keep your Christmas poinsettia alive year around, they love your tank lights. Mine is two years old now.
