Is this tank big enough for some neon tetras?
Just one male betta, isn’t he beautiful!

Yea, I think the tetras need at like 4' of vertical swim space if I remember correctly. Your bettas beautiful. He almost reminds me of a yellow tang. You could get one of those but he might seem small in there.

Ha, I’m old school, my first tank was set up in the mid nineties and the hydrometer served me well for 16 years. I’m old school and, well I’m old!

I exclusively used those for so long until I discovered what a refractometer was in the late 2010's. The swing arm never failed me, such simpler times. Sometimes I think about throwing my expensive refractometer, my glass hydrometer and Hanna checker in a bin and going back to a swing arm so I can stop pulling my hair.

I agree, even if it’s off slightly, one half cup of salt to a gallon of water gets you there. As long as you are testing your DT and your newly mixed water and they are the same you have consistency.

My 150 is only good for one mud skipper

As to equip a 300 reef octo, 200wt UV sterilizer, and a sump size that is 150 with a massive algae chamber!

Sweet. Following along. Any specific plans for this one.
Good morning! I plan to keep it mixed like my current one but leave a lot of sand space in the front for Scolys, acans , a couple rainbow trachy’s and other stuff meat corals. My holy grail, what I’ve been wanting since the beginning is a maxima clam. I’ll have to find a spot on top of the rockscape getting a minimum of 300 par. I got this yesterday.
