Orange Montipora growth

My Bright Orange Monti cap grows out instead of upwards. Does anyone else have this same type of growth? in about 1 more week it will be so close to the front glass I wont be able to get the magfloat between it and the glass.

Here's a picture I took at night. Its the "gathering" place for all my hermit crabs at night.

thats how mine grows, but you can brake it off easy enough if it gets to close to the glass. just be careful not to break it where you dont want to. your zoos may continue to grow over the monti so you may want to watch that too.

I have 1 red and 1 purple Montipora cap, the closer they are to the light the more they grow upwards....
