Orange torch - what do you think?

Still opening up but no trace of orange or copper

Blue light and day light photos attached
“Orange torch” is the two head at the top

Looks like my 24k now under blues.. I have what they call a 24k, ultra Knicks and a regular Knicks.. I call them indo golds lol.. here’s my 24k under blues and metal halides. I’m not sure what you paid but it’s a nice torch regardless… I’ve seen a couple vendors on here claim orange torches and I kinda see what they’re saying but there by no means a true orange like a jawbreaker mushroom.

But man, i found out your rainbow goni 2 is real.... which is even more unbelievable then a orange torch.

Imagine if that rainbow was glitter on top...

Personally i HATE gonis... i can't keep them alive thats why. But i always entertained the idea of having a glittering goni forest... i came to accept that it probably will never happen.

I call them indo gold also. Knicks, 24k, whatever - they are gold/purple striped with blue tips and I already have two similar variations of them

Yeah the Knicks is darker for sure. That’s my gold variants. Closest was labeled 24k then ultra Knicks and ny Knicks furthest away.

I understand it’s floppy because it’s been shipped and is adjusting to flow and conditions. But at this time we can see the color of the coral, and these photos are accurate to real life viewing

If I put on my orange filter glasses and squint real hard, it looks orange. :) Otherwise, nice torch but def yellow.

What a bummer. What’s the worst is that you did your due diligence with the seller and he appeared to have lied to you. If it does turn orange I’ll take the comment back, but if it’s just gold, that’s a shady shop.

Sent the seller the picture and they said
“Not sure how you don't see it as orange”

Attached these photos and said I was told coral looked exactly like the video. Not sure how you don’t see a difference between screenshots of video and what was sent

They claim the video is unedited, which makes me think the camera has an internal setting for tone or white balance or something and it records the color it did and is technically “unedited” but the recording itself is processed or filtered

If that was the case, then they deliberately sold a yellow torch, or their eyes perceive the color orange differently.

What I don't get is that you laid out your concerns up front, and they should've been smart to talk you out of a purchase.

Hey, I'm curious, do you have LEDs? Do you have the ability to turn the reds and greens up? I remember back when the gen 1 radions came out, I hiked up the reds and my yellow tang turned reddish orange. Maybe they run higher reds and green to get that color???

I questioned if seller legit has a color blind issue between yellow / orange but they were able to describe the difference between a grail and this one, and told me that they know if you use a lens if will make it appear yellow but in reality it is orange in person like their video.

I told them I don’t know what you expected to happen here….I had long conversations with you expressing I want an orange torch and you assuring me you have one. Numerous times you flat out said “it’s not yellow” and then you shipped a yellow torch. How did they expect this to go?

That was my thoughts.. throw a red flashlight above it and it will turn orange.. same problem everyone is having with the yellow Fiji leathers in their windex tanks they’re all green! :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Take a look at this video from their you tube page. Look specifically at the light reflection off the bottom of the tank?



It seems yellow to me. Any kessil users? Can you validate this to be possible with kessils?

I asked if they had orange torch and they said they have a nice 2 head one and gave me a link. I replied



They gave me video



Then gave a video i requested using phone and orange filter and it is yellow - and my phone and orange filter makes things true to real life
I replied and said it’s yellow. They replied and said it’s orange and not yellow and that’s why they don’t use the lens


They told me again it’s not yellow
