Just about 2.25" from the center of the pipe to the edge of the glass.

So what exactly is the fix for the second Orca only pulsing light and never going solid red?
I believe it was stated earlier, but just to clarify for future readers. After first device is setup in the app additional pumps have to be added via the local link tab of the first installed power head. Not very intuitive.

Added a second Orca today. It setup fine and updated to version 4.0.6 without issue. However, I went to update the original Orca and the update failed and the unit powered off and won't turn back on. I assume I didn't need to do that?

@rvitko, I sent an email regarding this just now, but figured I'd post it here in case other users experienced this as well.

I'm having a similar issue. Set up a 2.4 ghz guest network, shows my orca is connected then when I go into to the orca it looses connection. I'm at a loss, so frustrating. None of my other 2.4ghz devices have this issue. I even purchased a separate 2.4 extender to connect to, but I can't get the tune back in setup mode. Just pulses white. No physical reset buttons seems like a design flaw.

ratzy82, it has a reset, but this is a last resort, this is is hidden as if something is done wrong, it can brick the unit. I suspect there is some network conflict, possibly multiple network nodes, etc, I would use the support feature in the app as they have the most knowledge or specifics for various routers. Usually if you were connected and there is no network conflict, such an issue is solved by logging out, closing the app, reopening it and logging back in, otherwise, Tobias or Sascha will typically know the specifics of different routers and how to solve a connection problem.

Hi,

I'm facing an issue and am not sure if it has been addressed here or not.

I got two Orcas, one setup just fine, light going solid red and connecting with no issues. The 2nd one never went to red?! I'm not sure why. I see someone mentioning that the 2nd unit should be connected using Local Link, but isn't that cable only? I tried doing that but no way to do it.

The 2nd unit has been blinking white none stop. I tried unplugging and plugging again with no luck.

When I went to Local Link I remember the setup popped up separate from the other means of adding a device. Was that not the case for you? There was something I could click on I believe at the top

I figured it out. Super weird, but this is apparently how it works.

If you’re setting up more than one Orca, have them all plugged in and ready from the start. You begin the setup and add the first one, the one showing a solid red light I guess. Once that’s done, and while its local WiFi is still broadcasting, you need to quickly jump in and add the 2nd, 3rd, etc.

If you take too long, the local WiFi just drops and you’re back to factory reset and doing it all over again.

No idea why it works like this, and honestly don’t get how this isn’t mentioned anywhere in their documentation.

As for Local Link, that only works after all the wavemakers are added. That’s where you can actually cluster them together.

Amazing wavemaker nonetheless.

You set up the first ORCA, when you power up any future ORCA's they get all the credentials and form there own mesh network with the first one and as long as your phone is on the same WIFI network, they automatically pull through on the app. You do not need to power them all up at once. You just need to know pairing is only done once, all future units join the first ORCA and do not need to be set up.
