The Orchid Dottyback and Spingeri Dottyback are the only options in store and online that is readily available. I've always wanted a Dottyback simply because they are beautiful. My 90gallon tank is pretty peaceful. Aside from the tangs chasing each other once in a while, all my fish are supermodel citizens. With the Orchid, I worry that it would terrorize my Royal Gramma. I also have a Firefish Goby who isn't the most timid fish I've ever seen, but it's a docile fish who could become an easy target.

I'm just looking for those with experiences on either fish, or if I should even bother. I've gone this long without one, I'll live. But I always find myself staring at their pictures online, putting them in my shoppig cart, but then too scared to take the chance.

Honestly, although I agree they are beautiful, you might likely have issues with both established fish mentioned. Body shape and coloration are too similar.
The size of your tank plays into your favorite, but again the size of your tank makes catching any smaller fish a chore.

Two Orchid Dottyback is what I recommended. You need to know, however, that these fish tend to loose color unless they get a good diet and keep in good condition.
