Orchid Dottyback- Undead Roaming my Tank . Possibly haunted?

Oh boy.. I’m a longtime coral reefer. Don’t know what this but I know it isn’t good.
My orchid dottyback started looking like absolute garbage today. Went from 0-100 in a days time. Eating, swimming, acting completely normal. As time has gone on I suspect it is already dead and my tank is haunted now.

It has Patches all over. One on top is actually goldish rather than white, looked like something lumpy and whiteish on the bottom of it, has a beige carbuncle looking lump near its tail in one side, some kind of madness is hanging off of its bottom area. Most of the color of whatever the heck this is is a gold color.

somehow this zombie fish is acting like there is nothing to see here. what do I do? Because this is.. something else.

Looks like bite marks or injury from being spooked or intimidated which has become what looks like a bacterial issue. I also see white poop which may stem from excess mucus in stomach lining.
What foods are/were you feeding it?
Additionally, if still swimming around, treatment in a separate tank will be seachem Kanaplex

Thanks sir! I’m planning on adding him for the first time and felt so sorry for OP’s little guy. Sounds like something to watch for. You must have been one heck of a LFS owner

PS you were spot on about my Sailfin’s lower torn fin, she’s totally healed! And
Dr Reef has agreed to a 4 week copper treatment as per you’re protocol!

What other fish are in with this one?
In the last three shots, the thing hanging off the bottom sure looks like feces, especially the last photo.

This is the entire stock of my 200 gallon 750xxl Red Sea. Tons of rock with crevices and hiding spots everywhere. I have not personally seen any noticeably intense aggressive interactions between any of my guys. BUT. I’m so new to fish I don’t know what to look for and there is SO much contradiction between sources.
I was told caprice bed orchid dottybacks are the least aggressive of their kind and are fine with enough space. I was told -x2 gramma but no more- with enough space, etc. etc…
But last week I was told by the owner of my LFS that a Dragon Wrasse is totally reef safe, non aggressive and not a threat to tank mates. Walked out with one, went home and took once look online, went straight back. Every single thing he said was the literal opposite of Dragon Wrasse stats in every way. Aside from the fine folks here in the discussion boards of Reef2reef, I feel like I can’t trust anything I’m told. It’s kind of crazy…

-X2 Royal gramma

-X2 fire fish

-X2 green chromis

-Mated pair of clowns

-*tiny*cleaner wrasse

-Mandarin goby

-dragon pipefish

-a juvenile longhorn cowfish

-Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse

I also have a pair of cleaner shrimp and a pair of fire shrimp.

I am EXTREMEY grateful for your advice and input. I feel so lucky to have found this community of amazing people.

hi, sorry you welcomed comments, wow you’re tank sounds amazing. I just read on R2R a great post about cowfish. One thing that stood out was the advice of never having a cleaner wrasse with them because they don’t like to be bothered.
I’d love one but probably won’t attempt with “Tang Gang”. You mentioned conflicting advise, what’s so great on here is most often THE differing opinions on fish. They are so individual, like kids in a schoolyard, some will get along, some don’t. I enjoy the experience from many.
I accept it as just advice, and when there’s a consensus of opinion it’ll guide you

O.K., I don't see anything on your tank list that might have caused an injury like that - the dragon wrasse never got into your tank, right?
