Hey there! I’m getting to a point of adding my first fish to my 20g IM AIO! I have a planned stocking of a Court jester goby Yellow Watchmen Goby Tailspot blenny and an Ocellaris Clownfish (maybe another fish, still haven’t decided). I know order of fish is important, but I have a question. After researching, and asking my LFS, the CJG seems to be the pick to add first, but should I? I know they need more established systems, even if I buy captive bred, so should I start with a Yellow Watchmen Goby? Thanks!

I would highly recommend that you get a captive raised Court Jester Goby from Biota. I had one and it ate absolutely everything including pellets.

I think the biggest consideration here would be to add the Clownfish last. All other choices are quite peaceful and I don’t think you’ll have a problem. Adding the Clownfish before the peaceful fish may often result in a bullying situation.

Oh, good to hear. I was going to get a captive bred one from Dr Reefs, I thought they bought from biota, but I’m not entirely sure. Ive heard a couple accounts of even captive raised court jester gobies don’t eat all too well, but I’d imagine more eat then not. And yes, if I plan on adding the clown, I’m definitely adding it last!

I can only say that I had one from Biota and it ate great. Certainly, your milage may vary, but I think there's a very high likelihood of you having the same experience as I did with a fish from Biota.

I think I’ve decided against the clown, just to minimize aggression and make the tank easier. I’m looking at other fish to add, and have seen clown gobies, and green banded gobies, has anyone had experience with these? I’m still open to other fish, just need to research more!
