Well the bulldozer turbo snail did it for me today. I went to the inlaws for 3hrs for xmas and when i got home my oregon tort 3" coral was laying on my large hydna colony. Its completely fuzzy white now besides the tips. So what chances do you think it has. I'm going with 10% just based on other past incidents i've had. Hrs later its still a fuzzy white.

Not a huge deal as i can get new frags of it for free but That guy has grown a ton and just really started to look awesome in the last 6mths. The tips are so tiny there's no way i can frag it. We're talkin a few mm's : () I guess i'll wait and see what happens. I think the hydna needs to go. Its just to risky with expensive pieces around.

Yeah, I would say that hydna has now murdered and needs to go. Hope it makes it. I have clipped tips of almost nothing and they made it. As long as it has a polyp.

Those hydna's are nasty. My rose digi and idaho grape always grow into it and lose big time. The one I have has survived every issue I have had since I set up a reef. It was white at one point and lost most of the tissue on the skeleton. It has all grown back. I think if there was a nuclear war, it would be one of the only things left on the planet. Imagine a world of nothing but hydnophora and cockroaches....:hammer:

I hear ya. I need to get rid of it. I have two morphs of hydna, a white/pink and a nice green color. Both kill anything they touch...but they have great polyp extension like i've never seen.

Poor misunderstood corals..

I love mine and just can't part with it. Mine is the color of your first pic under MH and It's "Hulk Green" under actinics.

I have been here at my new happy reef home, R2R since I was "escorted out" of the "other site" Glad I found R2R as I couldn't be happier. How's everything been going? The site looks great.

Thanks man. Everything is goin well. To well actually as my tank has no more real estate at the moment. Pretty bummed about the tort as it was a super nice piece and a slow grower. Darn thing was pry 3-4" tall and finally a nice little colony. That hydna straight ko'd it in an hour. I like the hydna coral, its just got a huge punch to it.

And yep, really like R2R, great place!
