Hi everybody,
I recently, in April 2013, luck out and got a Gigas from a friend in Houston. He was turning his high energy reef tank to FOWLR. It was not doing great in his tank. 9 year old gigas that is about 14 inches. Below are a few pictures. One from 4/2013, and two from this AM. The shell, after 3 months, start to grow again. I am very happy that I was able to get him improve to this point.

Did he work at a fish store in north Houston? If so, I saw this thing in person at his house about 4 years ago. That is amazing!

Nice job! I would love for you to start a thread here about your anemones.

Robby,
No he does/did not work at the LFS.
143gadgets,
I will try to start a thread in the next few days

Thanks

An absolutely stunning clam! I had a 3" baby gigas a few years ago that was murdered by a fireworm :( I've never been able to find another since.

Beautiful clam!

Nice one Orion! I once had a Giga's, it grew 5" in a year and that scared me so I sold it LOL...
Young Gigas can grow 1/2 inch a month. Mine did when her was about 4 inches

Awesome clams!
