Howdy,

I'm considering some supplemental lighting for my tank, and the Orphek OR4 bars look like an appealing option due to their cost effectiveness over AI Blades.

Researching this, it looks like Orphek released a mount for the OR3 that was compatible, but it was their ceiling mount.

Ideally I would like a tank mounted solution, preferably similar to the Ecotech RMS (either track, or single arm). I'm leaning more towards their track option as it seems a bit scary to put even more weight on just the back glass.

Curious how others are addressing a combination mount of the OR4's + Radions? Perhaps a Hybrid fixture mount?

Thanks!

I saw this, but I have 2 concerns;

1. I'm unsure how the Radions actually mount onto it. Looked like its using the tracks, but I can't find much info about this online.
2. It is a mount that goes onto the back of the tank - I feel as though it'd be a lot of weight on that glass/seam and I would be nervous not distributing it a little more.

Did you ever find a solution to this?

I've been looking at using Orphek's universal bracket on my RMS rail to mount the OR4's. I think it would work with T-nuts, this guy did it that way but it's hard to see exactly how he did it.

Negative, I stopped looking and decided when the time comes I’ll likely sell the Radions and get a different light.

Here’s some pics of my set up with Hydra 64s

I like how tall urs r off the top of the tank, what rail system is that??
It’s the Ai hydra HMS rail with the hybrid blade mounts! I didn’t even have to drill holes in the brackets to add the OR4 bars. I used 2 of the AI single light mounts and had to shave them down a little bit to fit over the black rim on the tank and then added the rail plus the ai hybrid brackets. It was pricey but I’m able to move it up and down easily. Right now I only have one pair of hybrid mounts holding everything up and it’s sturdy

I have the RMS rail, I think I would like the hms rail better....

Appreciate you guys. Looks great!

Any sag? How wide are the tanks?
90gal with the 48” rail and nah no sag at all. Keep in mind sometimes the AI lighting mounts can be a pain to work with but once you get it set up you’ll enjoy it

I love it so far! It can be a little tricky getting it together because you have to make a couple of fine adjustments with the screws to make things flush but it’s sturdy with no sag
