Orphik blue sky

I'm thinking about running an orphik blue sky bar on my 20 long. Would 1, 24" bar be fine or should I get 2? LPS, softies, and easy sps (Birdsnest, monti)

I would also consider Quanta Pro Meso Blue or OG pop, much better blending/spread and more diodes compared to Orphek. It's just on/off, so there's no dimming, but that's completely unnecessary.

I am running 3 cheap Amazon bulbs. I'd like to ditch them all together. I read that the orphik bars have a narrow beam. That's why I'm wandering about 2

Yes, Orpheks need to be mounted high to get decent spread, unless you have a tall tank. The blending isn’t the best, maybe they improved with the OR3’s? When I compared the Quantas to the OR2’s, there was a big difference in color blending and spread, Quantas are way better than Orpheks for both. But for the same price, I’m not sure why someone would get the Orpheks other than possible dimming, which has no benefit to the animals.

I have 3 Orphek OR3 60 bars on my 32 gallon: one blue sky, one blue plus and one reef day plus. The lense on the diodes is 90 degrees.

Depending on the width of your tank and the height you will mount them at, I would recommend two or three. You can contact their customer services and give them your details. They can give you their reccomendations as well.

1 reef day 1 reef plus will work.
Same with quanta.
I have ran both and run the quanta now.

Take a look at the NP K7 V3.
About $220 with mount and fully programable.
I run one on my 20g acro cube.
They are copys of the Radion gen4's spectrum and will grow anything you want in the 20L.
