I noticed the plastic was gone from the sensor is it still safe to use or is there a fix for it? It’s 15 months old

The plastic housing that fits over it helps with fluctuating water levels... ie, if there are small 'waves' and such.

The little sensor in the picture not the plastic piece that clips on

Is that a hole in the housing, exposing the internal electronics to water?
*kinda looks like it in the 2nd picture but can't tell for sure

It should be fine… I believe that cap is to keep other lighting and interference away.

When I plugged it back in it shows as solid red. Tried resetting and still the same. I water touching the unit in the sump @rvitko
