Ah okay gotcha !

I’m sitting at the tank now. This is what the surface looks like. So there is movement.

our doors are open all the time. So that’s good! The tank is in my den which leads to the backyard which opens multiple times a day, we have dogs. Lol

I’m currently running my tank lights during the day, with the DT. What does running it opposite do exactly?
Just the refugium would run opposite , photosynthesis increases Ph so if you run a refugium and light it opposite of the DT lights you don’t experience a ph drop associated to the darkness /no photosynthesis. But yes having plenty of surface agitation and keeping windows open really helps ph :):grinning-face:

The difference between 400-440 is 2 drops with api test
I’ll attach a link for Hanna conversion
Ideally you want roughly 10-32 ppb
And for alk I would be more inclined to trust Hanna

So I think I made a boo-boo with him :’(. But I’m reading mixed things especially on Facebook groups. Looks like he may be a “bad boy”.

I’ll keep an eye on him since he’s young for now. lol

I obviously should have gotten the peppermint hawkfish instead but I couldn’t resist!
Flame hawk fish are nice ,

I’m regretting my dragon wrasse purchase a bit. I woke up at 3am and anxietied about it lol. I know he hasn’t done anything yet but I’m just thinking that he is going to get so big and that he may potentially eat my fish.

also, I like having shrimp and crabs and it would suck if he started eating them as he got older.

I’m thinking I may catch him and put him in my refugium and either try and get that same LFS ago take him and give me a credit or maybe sell it to my other LFS for a credit.

I guess I will see.

Finally got a semi decent picture of Peeping Tom, the flame hawkfish.

He always watches me but then th s away after a few.

hoping he will become more outgoing as time goes on.
They never do come around .
Mine will sit and stare for ever until I pick up my phone to take a picture .

Uploaded this video of the midas blenny playing

He is such a character <3

The Blenny is flashing, Flukes perhaps, tough to tell if it's something else from the video. I'd recommend considering QT and treatment of all fish.

I will look this up. He does it from time to time but not even on a daily basis ( that I see ).

also he is the only one who does it.
