Makes sense I will see, Im not sure off the top of my head.
My sump includes
One section with cheato Mexican turbo snail , used to house a a hole urchin ,

next chamber is pump to supply the external skimmer .
next is my return pump .

if k were to use a uv like yours I would need a few of them , but they would go in the 2nd compartment

We have filter socks and refugium in the same compartment, then one small compartment that does nothing, then the last one with the skimmer, and tbh I have no idea where the return is but I think its in the last compartment lol. My bf is the reef plumber! So, even though I know some... that is his department!

To be honest, I dont know if the little compartment does nothing. lol Technically its another sponge to filter any possible stuff from refugium.

We put a few snails in the refugium as well. I would like to get another type of macro algae, just for looks. I love macro tanks.

Liveplants.com has some good stuff! I had gorgeous dragons breath but turbo snails ate it all in one night lol

Thanks! Yours will to in no time! Just give it some feedings of mysis and it’ll get big
Yes! I give directly to mine like 2 times a week.

Now with selcon! I think I put too little selcon last night, only a few drops. This morning I put like 3ml, which maybe was too much... it was cloudy for a minute or two.

Should I be using it with every feeding?

The bottle is pretty small, I think I may need to order more just for next time.

Also, talking about food... do you think I can premix it in? Im thinking of defrosting all my foods, and making a custom food blend for my fish. So I am thinking to take mysis, blood worms, this other thing that I have that has fish, scallops mysis, who knows what else (smells very stinky), and then the selcon, and mixing it all, then freezing new cubes?

Every single feeding just need 3-4 drops , and premade mix would be amazing ! I’m not sure about unfreezing already frozen and then refrezing cubes but if you go to super market just buy some shrimp / clams/oyster /squid/nori / scallops ect and then blend those and freeze as cubes it would be great and you could add the selcon

Good morning! A few updates… I have not yet taken the dragon back because I couldn’t catch him lol. Then I ordered a net, a much better net. That should be arriving today. Unfortunately the fish store is closed for the next week because they’re on vacation.

We are taking the boyfriend’s new motorcycle, the gold wing on our first long trip. Looking forward to it. So no fish stuff this weekend.

The tank was due for a good cleaning, boyfriend took the opportunity to restate the rock. It’s a constant work in progress I guess.

Nice new build, @Dani305 !
That is a fast start to the hobby! Hopefully all goes well with your new build.
75-gallon tanks are a nice size, small enough for a manageable start but large enough for more stable water parameters and for some nice fish types and numbers.

Your fish list looks pretty good for your considerations, but I think it is well recommended to hold off on the mandarin until the tank has been established for a while to have enough natural copepod populations for maintaining health.

Welcome to R2R and congratulations on your new build thread!

P.S. I don't mind that I noticed the Model A, as I've dreamed of having one some day as well. I missed a chance at a farm auction 5 years ago when I was not yet ready for it...
How do you know if you have copepod population? I have had a tank for years and its very established. Never thought about a mandarin. But would be cool to have!

Good morning .
If you’re able to catch him , maybe add him to solitary confinement ( sump ) until you’re able to deliver to the lfs .

enjoy your road trip .
I was actually saying to my wife , it would be nice to take a long road trip to the USA ( we’re in Ontario Canada )
thinking of the west coast .. San Francisco sounds nice . But open to suggestions.
