So we started adding a few pieces of coral. Still on the fence and cannot make a decision to use Ca reactor or 2-part or kalkwasher dosing. I have suggestion from others on all three. Anyone who wants to provide their recommendation, I am open.

So we just adding another fish. Some say we should not have because the fish is not reef safe but I am hoping that we will be successful as others are. Just like to see the fish grow from the juvenile state to adult. We purchase juvenile Koran Anglefish.

We added a Mangrove to the tank the first time, though we would try. Don't know what we are doing.

Still have difficulty with corals; they turn brown. From what I read, that means the light is too much or not enough. More leaning too much light, we turned them down a notch and raised the lights just a little. Time will tell.

Tested the parameters: Phos 0.03 ppm, Nitrate 4.9 ppm, PH 8.6, dKH 8.4, K 390 - 400, temp 76.1-76.6 degrees F, OPR 334, Salt 34.4. I do not know Ca or Mg...need a test kit but should not be out of wack.

We are sad, do not like with live animals don‘t live. we try and try to preserve Gods creation but unfortunately we fail at times. Our Mangrove did not make it. That is why we dont have any sps in any of our tanks, just seams that everything we try, we fail. Our 50-gallon is by far the best successful tank we have ever Had.

The fish are healthy and growing. Hopefully, soon we can add a few more, looking at some wrases and need some other smaller fish. Of course, any suggestions are always good.

No updates to the 190 in some time. We have been purchasing items, little by little, but we still need two stands, one on each side of the tank and then cabinet/shelves on each end above those stands. The cabinet on one side will house most of the Apex controls, and on the other side, we can store dry goods and a few other controls. Hopefully, that will happen soon.

We required upgrading our existing tank of around 60-gallons, the fish were getting too big, and one of my friends decided to sell his 190-gallon Coast-to-Coast custom aquarium. We started building the tank around the end of January and added three new fish on April 21st. We still need to construct the outer shell cabinet and intergrade the controls inside. Here is the entire photo video but I will post pictures on the page.

This is what the tank looks like today:

We added some new fish today—three pajama cardinals (two male and one female), solorensis wrasse, and orange shoulder surgeonfish.

I am continuing to add the progress pictures. I wanted something different than the past builds. Not sure if we really needed this but I said...what the heck, why not. Might come in handy one day and keep the hardwood floors from rotting, and if I wanted to, we could place a drain in the bottom pan.

The company did not make the pan correctly. We wanted the lip around the pan to go around the outer perimeter on the front and sides instead of what you see here, give us less room for other equipment. Still looks nice!
I like the idea of a splash pan. My 240 gallon setup did not come with one. After I retire I am planning moving it 2 foot farther from the wall. I will try to add a splash pan at that time. Enjoying your build.
