New one has had 2 bites of frozen that I know of (brine and bloodworms) and spit both out.

Seems all this one is concerned about eating at the moment is aiptasia. Hopefully it converts soon!

We're now fully eating mysis in the water column and off rocks/sand. This one is just doing better all together than our previous one!

Great! It's like a switch that turns on. My CBB is eating mysis and pushing the Watanabe and bellus out of the way to get at it.

The other one would do this, but it was so timid. This one is night and day different. No bullies now either. So glad it worked.

Gonna try some clams this weekend

I know these are a delicate fish, but it was eating, very brave, very active, no bullies.

I'll try one more but that may be it for me if the next one doesn't do well unfortunately.

Is the pyramid the only other possible aiptasia eating butterfly? We REALLY love the copperband but can't afford to keep replacing them so often. The next one may break me on them if it doesn't make it

Came home to a dead new copperband. Absolutely no idea what happened after it was doing so well

Sorry you lost em... this isn't usual for the copperband to seem to die out of no where. The very first one I ever tried ate aggressively for 8 weeks and ate that morning, dead 8 hours later. It was in an established macroalgae tank and was going to town on the feather dusters in there too. Not a mark on it. The only other fish in the tank in it was a wrasse and it never became ill, it went into my display and I still have it two? years later.

Fishotel quarantines copperbands, he tries to order them every chance he gets. They sell out almost instantly but he posts what day and time they will be posted (Saturday afternoons I think). So you basically need to log on immediatly and check out as fast as your fingers can go. People seem to have good luck with them.

They don't eat aptasia that I'm aware of. Just a nice looking fairly reef safe butterfly. I think @PedroYoung recently posted about his and they looked great.

Got the last one I think I'm gonna try today. Also got a yellow longnose with it

Hopefully this one works out. Biggest we've had so far

Oh no - not good. Can be a number of things- startled and crashing into glass, internal issue and the list goes on.

And this is what bugs me about these copperbands. This new one is a good size, but is acting much more shy than our previous one. Hopefully it's just day 1 tank moving stress.

Our previous one was already picking at rocks and nothing scared it. Different personalities with each fish. The stress to me now of trying to keep this last one alive. Fingers crossed

Just got this little guy in and so excited! This is easily my newest favorite fish behind our clowns. It seems extremely healthy.

It has not stopped picking at rocks and eating.... Stuff from them since I put it in the tank. I've not seen it try any frozen or anything yet. It picked up a small bristleworm in a rock and ate it ferociously.

I'm hoping it eats aiptasia as that's partly why I got it. We've had an outbreak and peppermint shrimp didn't touch it.

Hopefully it starts eating frozen food I've got.

Our PBT did NOT take kindly to the little guy and unfortunately we've had to rehome the tang. It was such a beautiful fish, but caused more issues in our tank than it was worth.

My tangs didnt bother with mine at all. When i ntroduced him or her it wouldnt touch anything for about a week i tried lrs fish frenzy mysis brine clams you name it. After it got used to the tank and other fish i think it learned to feed with other fish and now hes the first front and center begging for food.

Got a close up of the newest one. It's just now after a day getting halfway interested in picking at rocks. I'm just not sure how to approach this one as the other 2 were much different, especially the previous one. I'll just keep offering food.

There is plenty of aips for it to eat, as I'm getting overrun. If this one fails it's gonna be a mass thing of F-aiptasia needed. I know not all CBB even eat it, but both have previously so fingers crossed.

Did you guy's here take a few days to start picking/eating?

FYI I had a longnose for a bit, much easier then copperband but mine eventually ate LPS, especially acans.
