Wife and I recently tore down our 125 mixed reef and are sticking with our 20 gallon. Much easier maintenance and actually have time for this, plus the way cheaper cost.

This will be a mixed reef but currently all softy coral. Stocking left over from our 125 that we kept is:
2 clowns
Royal gramma
Yellow watchman goby +Randalls pistol shrimp
Diamond goby
2 cleaner shrimp
1 blood red shrimp
Halloween urchin

Lights are the Nicrew HyperReef 200w. I currently have the settings on:
15% ramp up to blue and violet
25% blue violet, 10% white, 5% green and red for 4 hours
Ramp down to 15% blue and violet
5% blue only for the little bit before lights out

Hopefully this keeps the algae down and corals flourishing.

Hey, very nice! There is no shame in downsizing when its for the well being of your creatures and your family.

You have glass tops on your tank. I thought that I was the only one who still used them! They are not very popular these days but are a reliable way to keep fish from jumping and cut down on evaporation! 👍

Glass tops are a must for us. We've had so many fish jump and it's just not worth it to lose them like that

I agree 100%. Folks seem to think that they cut down on oxygenation but if the surface of the water is rippling the inhabitants will have all the oxygen they need.

I have a 20g High aquarium with an aged clownfish under my 75g aquarium. Someday when I am ready to downsize, that is probably the tank that I will use.

Both my 150 gallon tanks have glass tops. I move a lot of water at the surface-- can't imagine the evaporation without them!

I will always have a special spot for nano tanks! Maybe it is because I started with one. Anyways, congrats on the 20g, glad it is going well for you!
