I'm looking to add a 20g tank to my system. I have a 20g rimless. Looking to add an internal overflow. Most small kits come with only one drain. Not comfortable with just the one drain. I see other kits that have room for 2 but their rated at 600gph. If I do a herbie type. Does it really matter if I'm only pushing 200gph through it. On my display I did the bean animal. Just worried with the smaller tank if there is a clogged drain. My sump would pump 20g to the display on the 20g and that would be a mess. Any input or links to help out would be appreciated. My system now is a 100g display 30g sump and 20 g fuge.

If it were me, I would go with two drains, one as an emergency. The overflow rate will ultimately be controlled by the rate of the pump.

That's my two pennies worth anyway.
