OverFlow Boxes

I was thinking about toying with a 40g breeder and I want a drilled overflow box. I'd like to hear what some of you have done or recommend?

I went with a custom Modular Marine box without teeth. Haven't drilled holes for it yet so it's not installed but the workmanship looks excellent. Very responsive as well to questions.

I did the same. My box is similar to the one I linked, but uses 1" bulkheads for everything, so it is a VERY tight fit. I have also lost about $120 in fish making their way through the overflow to the sump and into the skimmer intake, so I got some black plastic gutter guard from Lowe's and put over it, now nothing gets through and i lost no surface skimming capability :D

@redfishbluefish & @jedimasterben you guys rock. I have a Reef Savvy overflow, its awesome, but i'm about to setup a 20G nano and would go either route over another $200 overflow box. :cool:

Yes, window screen won't hold on unless you wrapped it around the entire box, which might not look good :)

This stuff is rigid enough to just sit in place. The suction that the water creates is holding it in place.
