How tall should I order them? My overflows was damaged by PO, so i need new pair.

where the previous overflows cut down? if not, why not measure them.

was thrown out, i might just see how much shorter they are, relative to rim, in my other tank and order to that measurement

I actually just installed a quarter-cylinder overflow which terminated exactly 1/4” below the tank’s plastic rim….

The teeth height in the overflow will dictate the tank’s operating water height (water will pack up, and be ~1/4” above the bottom rim of each tooth), so plan accordingly off that more than anything!

The teeth height is normally 1” - 1 1/2”. If I’m not mistaken.

I think the standard 20.5” height will fit in there quite nicely, with 3/16” to spare!

You do want this style of install to be pretty tight to the top rim, primarily to ensure that the operating water line is concealed behind it!

Seems to me the total height of the box could be to about 1/4" from the top of the inside of the tank, with the teeth cut to the bottom of the plastic rim.
With the teeth at the bottom of the rim, the water going through the teeth, the waterline would be hidden by the rim.
