I’m trying to tie in a frag tank into my existing system. The frag tank has an external overflow box with two drains. My sump however, only has one drain line connection. Is there an option - durso, stockman (assume Herbie is out), etc that can have both overflow box lines teed into a single drain line at my sump? This tank will have relatively low flow rate (few hundred gph) and is located in a remote fish room, so silence is nice but not imperative.

Hey there.

I would recommend doing using the Herbie system. I originally had a Durso drain on my tank and it was always gurgling. Since you only have one connection on your sump, I would plumb the main drain with the gate valve into the hole and then plumb the emergency drain nearby into the sump. Hope that helps!

Thanks for that. I think you’re right. I’ll just use a wye and connect the frag tank emergency drain into the main tank emergency drain coming into the sump
