Reviewing my power system now and have a question. If I have a chain of powerbars hooked up to my P4 and one of them loses power will the communication to anything down stream also lose communication?

Yep - you will have communication with the units between the P4 and the powerless unit - not after the faulty unit. Therefore - its good to have a RJ45 coupler (CAT5 or 6) at home - you use that to connect incoming and outgoing PAB cable from the faulty device.

It is also important to note that when a Powerbar loses communication with the ProfiLux, it goes into stand-alone mode, where each socket switches to the initial state you have configured:
See "8. Optional: Set the fallback state of your powerbar".

Though I had a better power outage plan then I actually did. Each power bar was on a separate circuit but cable connecting them. I think I will rewire them so they are both first then go to dosing pumps.
