Pacific East Aquaculture
A Licensed Coral Aquaculture Facility
Serving Hobbyists Since 2000
Built, owned, and operated by Dr. Mac, a board certified veterinary pathologist and marine aquarium hobbyist since 1965. Over the years Dr. Mac has helped set up a coral farm in the Solomon Islands, a fish collection station and clam farm in French Polynesia, and regularly hand picks corals, fish, and inverts worldwide. We sell retail and wholesale.

Check us out here:

When you're in the area we welcome you to stop by for a tour, we're in Chesapeake Country on Maryland's lovely and laid-back Eastern Shore. We are just down the road from Ocean City Maryland and nearby the beautiful beaches of Delaware!

Some quick random phone pics of our facility taken this morning:

We stock corals, clams, fish, inverts, live rock, and more

Been there myself many times. Great coral selection , the healthiest fish you can find anywhere, bar none, and great customer service. Highly recommend.

We use geothermal wells for temperature control of our livestock systems and for heating and air conditioning of our building. Multiple 250 ft wells and titanium heat exchangers keep our systems, including greenhouse, at 78 degrees year round and air temp at 70 degrees.

At 1 time you guys were selling whitetail bristletooth tangs. Are you still able to get them?

We have some coming within the next couple of weeks along with Black Tangs and other French Polynesian fish. Dr. Mac went there 8 years ago and helped set up that collection station and developed the protocols for hand netting of the fish and their series of treatments and feeding before they are shipped.

This is awesome to hear. Are your French Polynesian whitestail the same vibrant red as the Hawaiian specimen? If so please inform me when you get some in the next 2 weeks. Definitely buying one

They are not vibrant red, more of a brown color, occasionally we get yellow ones with white tails.

I’ll see what they look like when you guys get them in. I’m looking for and want the ones that we see when we do a google search. They look vibrant red or that could be photo shopping. I would definitely be interested in a yellow one with white tail. That’s different. Never seen one of those before

They are never bright red. I dont think they are photoshopped, its that often when taking a pic there can be reflections from the sand or inherent bias of the digital process for that color. I was reviewing a video of one I took 4 years ago and it looks kind of red, but the color is more of a reddish brown.
