I just got a marineland 93 rimless cube and i have a stand built for it. The top is 2x 3/4 plywood glued and screwed together.
Should i get some sort of pad to put under the tank to distribute the load? If so what type of pad and where can i get it?

as long as you're not doing a bare bottom, i used roofing tar heat shield. Its like a sticky epoxy tar that you stick to a surface and then sit the tank on top and it settles. Used it for my 180g on a wood stand, i had plywood on top and usually plywood is malleable enough to hold a tank, but yours is flat glass at the bottom so i would use that or styrofoam to cushion the tanks glass. Just be careful using styrofoam as water will break it down over time.
