Padding under rimmed tank

I used sheathing plywood for the top of my stand, its sanded smooth but there are subtly dips on both sides of the plywood.

I got my hands on there rubber garage matts, they are flexible, but not compressible.
Id place the tank on the smooth side. basically, the tank is support for 3/4", not supporter for 3/8". suported for 3/8" etc etc. Is this a bad idea or good idea?

I have placed thin rubbermats under plastic rimmed tanks for the same reason with no issues.

This stuff I got is semi rigid. (If I bend past a "C" shape it will crack. I specifically chose this because it would make the surface flatter, not squishier like rubber and foam.
I usually use a non bumpy version of the same material.

Those bumps all the pad to roll to be consistently flat but makes the support be similar to putting the tank on a wire bed frame. Does this create pressure points or will it not matter

A standard plastic trimmed tank? It will have a floating bottom and so only needs support on the trim itself. Most manufactures suggest nothing at all under them, but I would thing something like that won't hurt a thing. What you need to avoid is anything that might compress enough to put upward pressure on the bottom pane of glass.
