I have 2 black clowns that have been sharing a nem together ever since I got them both. I purchased them both at the same time. They have grown up together and are about 2 years old. They are both pretty much the same size so I have been wondering if I they are a pair. I have been under the impression that usually the female is quite a bit larger then the male. would 2 females share the bta as a pair?
thanks
Jeff

If they have been living together for 2 years and they are sharing the same nem then they are a pair.

Did you guy them as babies ?

yes I bought them from a local hobbiest that breeds them. They were smaller and hadnt turned full black yet.
thanks
Jeff
Hi I know this thread is ancient but do you have any update on how this turned out? I'm in the exact same boat and want to know if they'll ever breed or if they somehow both turned female and will lead to future fighting. Thanks!

wow that was an old post. The two never did spawn. I have since had one of them die but the other is still alive and well. That puts the one about 13 years old!! I should write down when I add new fish so I can keep track of how old they are.
