next fish in my stocking order is a hi-fun banded goby with a pistol shrimp. I found a bonded pair of gobies with the shrimp. Is this something I should attempt as a beginner? Or just have a single goby?

I bought a bonded pair off divers den. Unfortunately I lost the shrimp. They kind of did their own thing until I replaced the shrimp. When the larger goby found the shrimp he was super protective of it and started picking at the smaller ones fins. It was short lived and he relaxed after a week or so. Long story short the 3 of them are bffs now and are by far my favorite livestock. I say go for it.

I have had several bonded goby pairs and I don't find them any more difficult to keep, even with a shrimp.
