Hello all,

I just got a randall's pistol shrimp and a Hi Fin Red Banded Goby. I acclimated them both in separate containers, then put them in a wine glass full of tank water. I quickly put the wine glass upside down into the substrate, capturing them both inside. It's a decent sized wine glass with plenty of room.
About a half hour later, the goby is still inside, but the shrimp has disappeared, probably into the sand. Did I blow it? Should I leave the goby in the wine glass for another day? Do you think he'll be ok in there? He doesn't look freaked out or anything.

It will not get any oxygen in that glass, I would remove the glass, it also doesn't seem very nice. They will pair or not, but don't force it, let nature happen. IMO

I thought that oxygen would be carried into the glass through water from the sand.

Anyways, the shrimp reappeared, and they seem to be somewhat partnered already. I'll remove the glass and put on some Barry White.
