That's not what I said, but I am glad you have showed us that your comprehensive reading lacks severely.
I’m very sorry I offended you that was not my intent :)

My whole family got poisoned, it is rare but it does happen. I can tell you if you get it, you will know it because you will feel like you are literally dying. Even the cat ended up in respiratory distress, had to be on oxygen. I think I had it the the worst because I was in the room nearest it, so I inhaled the fumes the most. I had extreme body aches and shivers I could not control, my lungs had a nice whistle to them when I would breath.

My tank is heavy paly, the palys we got it from were also the ones I believe you are most likely to get it from, nuclear greens.

The last two times I have cleaned out my tank I have gotten sick—like flu symptoms. All I do is scrape the glass and vacuum water. I NEVER scrape the rocks or touch the coral.

First time, it happened a few days later with a fever, sore throat, and a cough. This past week I got a sore throat while cleaning the tank and had a fever the next day of 101. Both times I have lost fish. The first time I didn’t put it all together because it was delayed. This time it was pretty instant with me and the fish dying. After a week this time I went and got medicine because it turned into a sinus infection. This last round was pretty bad. These are my culprits. Any clue what type and if they could be releasing the toxin? If I were to guess it is the picture with the longer stalks. That’s the newest within the last 2 months. The other 2 I have had for months with no problem. But I wanted some opinions…. 1306F186-0765-447C-BEF0-DA17517F5B27.jpeg

From OP’s initial post. “All I do is scrape the glass and vacuum water. I NEVER scrape the rocks or touch the coral” in case people miss that part.
