1st I've started seeing that PAR measurement for LED's may not even be accurate? is that true?

But if anyone has a PAR meter available in the Austin area would love to chat!
up here in DFW area, local club DFWMAS has different PAR meters we loan to active dfwmas.org members depending on type of light used (program went on hold due to COVID)

BRS has rental program OR see what your local Austin club might offer OR check around with LFSs.

The standard apogee qm510 is plenty accurate for our purposes. May under report by a few percent but not enough to worry about. Par is like many other parameters, you really just need to keep it in a comfortable range. Nailing it down within 1-2 micromol is not going to make a difference.

Rivers and Reefs on Roxie used to have one to rent and Aquadome I think has ine they rent out also. Apogee under reports blue but like Bpb said it's close enough for our uses.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
