My wife started a New Job and her pay periods changed , so I am re-working out bills and budget.

My question is, Do you seem to find it easier when you get paid Every 2 weeks To pay all the bills at one time once a month or break it down and pay some Each Pay period?

If they all came in at the same time it would be a no brainier, but since they are all thru out the month I was thinking of seeing if I could change them to all at the same time but not sure.

Being an Adult sucks sometimes LOL

I of course would have to pay extra on a few to make up for the difference if I went to once a month

I prefer weekly but that was decades ago. I get paid bi-weekly and you have to balance and budget.
I schedule due dates. one pay period is Vehicle and utilities. 2nd pay period is House and cell phone, and other small bills.
Whatever is left- 40% to savings, 40% to reefing and remaining 20% to reserve (whatever may come up)

I feel like I have bills at the beginning, middle and end of the month. End of month is mortgage and vehicle which is the biggest chunk. Get paid bi-weekly

I find is way easier to pay them at the same time I get paid, I get paid weekly so have my bills set up to come out weekly, different one each week, this way the day after pay day I know what’s mine to spend.

my hubby and I both get paid weekly and I have it set up to pay Bill's each week. this week was vehicle insurance and water. next week car payment, the week after we start the new month off with 2 different power Bill's (the house we live in and the one we bought and are working on which we kick the breaker when we arent there and it only runs us like $20 a mth) & trash, the week after that cell phones and repeat!

We both get paid on the same day, biweekly. The earliest our bills are due is the 25th, the latest is the 4th or 5th.

We have a better buffer in our joint account, we both add to that automatically, so I can usually pay them early. I generally pay "important" ones first like the insurance which is early and will get late fees and the nasty notice of potential drop if the bill isn't in by x date.

For a while my mortgage payment was coming to me almost a week before it was due, now it comes out at the beginning of the month.

Phone, power, water usually get it when it is due. I still pay some bills via the USPS.

Easiest (although toughest to achieve) is get a 'float" in the checking account. That's usually about 1/2 a pay check. Then you pretend that's $0 and never touch it. Anyhow, then you pay based on due dates and don't have to worry about it so much.

Did years of paycheck to paycheck though (thanks to my ex thinking that the ATM was a free money machine). It's no fun, stressful and the least little thing goes wrong and you're paying late fees.

Bi weekly by far. I hated getting paid monthly. I had to divide it up. I think it's just the way I process things though
