So this kicks off my PC superman Growth/color Thread.

I have had this coral now since December 2012. 4 month later it looks like a brown turd. The purpose of this thread is to see if I can get it to color up(yes under LEDS) and look like a colorful PC Superman. Please feel free to post your pics and comments.

Thanks

Best of luck to you getting it to color up. Was it poo brown when you got it or has it lost it's color over time? It's an amazing coral when colored up, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

It was very pastel with very light blue tips. Similar to a coral that has been in a Zeovit tank. I have been slowly moving it up. It has one more step before I put it in its final spot that I know will get the coral to take off.

Following along Tom!
Happy to see this thread because mine did not like the change @all may it RIP
Not a fan of Zeo frags...IME they seem to take a long long time to recover/color up when moved to a non-Zeo LNS
However, some frags are worth the wait!

+1 on the Zeo Issues. I got a handful of frags form a Zeovit tank and swear they barely have grown. Some of them were taking up valuable real-estate and got pulled and given away. I am with you on this one.

I disagree, some of my nicest frags have come from Zeo tanks and have colored up pretty fast. When the Zeo owner gets carried away with the Zeospur2 is when things get too pale IMO but other than that it's really not much different than any other ULNS system.

Happy to say mine is doing well now. It had a slow start in the frag tank....ok colour but no growth. I moved it to the dispaly in high light/flow and bam...growth. Still not blazing fast but decent.

That could have been the problem. I have purchased Several frags from 2 diff guys running full blown Zeo both used daily a vast collage of Zeo additives (not sure which products) my water param. were perfect and other corals (non zeo) put in @ same time colored up beautifully. It was blowing my mind!!!
