My LFS has a Pectinia coral I’m interested in. I’ve attached a picture. It is very blue. My apologies. The owner claims this coral(which is very colorless) will really color up over time. He also stated it could take months to a year for this to occur. I’m intrigued by photos I’ve see online. Is he correct in his statement that it will color up?
Thanks for any help!

I have never seen a color shift on pectinia. Acros, yes those no. What you see is what you get. He’s most likely justifying a premium price, don’t go for it.

What kind is it? Space invader?
It probably lost some color due to being under all blues.
Mine lost quite a bit of color after I dipped it. I could actually see it spitting out green slime. It fully recovered and now looks like this.
