Coloring up acros

I am trying to color up a green tenuis coral that is growing well, but color is all green. I am running 2 ai prime 16. I haven't had any success coloring it up but I am noticing since I have added stronger purples and uv spectrum the coral looks darker under white lights. It is brown under white lights but I guess I can describe it looks like it is getting tanner under white light spectrum.

Is that what should be happening? If someone has experience with this have you noticed that when trying to color up a tenuis?

What are your nutrients and par? Do you have a pic?

Acros can turn green under lower par. They can also turn green before coloring up.

Tenuis tend to be more difficult to color up. If it’s growing and happy, you’re doing something right.

You will get more greens under higher nutrients. Certain trace elements can also influence the coral color and saturation of color.

Is there a reason to believe that it isn’t supposed to be green? Some acros are just green. Darker coloration under white lights suggests the zooxanthellae are trying to collect more light, possibly due to lower intensity. If you are interested in coloring up acros, a quality par meter can give you a reference to start looking for adjustments to make. I’d start with light intensity, flow, then nutrient levels. Sometimes when leaving them alone for a year or so they just change on their own as well. Any changes made should be gradual to prevent bleaching the coral.
