Hi.
I have a Red Sea P500 (4ft x 2f x 2ft) and wondering if anyone can advise as to whether lm getting best flow for my tank.
I have two Maxpect 300 Gyres mounted vertically, either side of the weir and one Jecod SW8 at the other end, mounted on the front glass, high up, pointing down.
These are the only three places that l want to mount pumps due to wire management. The front glass panel is mounted ‘in the wall’ and l’ve mounted a ‘shelf’ of glass above the front side and used sucker cups to zip tie the wire of the Jecod to its underside.
I’ve read that Gyres are actually not the best for Peninsulas and would be interested in feedback.
I’m happy with the tank, which is now 2.5 years old, but like all, lm striving for improvement where l can.
I’ve attached a couple of pictures of the initial build and its current form.
