peppermint shrimp and anemones

do peppermint shrimp mess with anemones, reason I ask is because I bought a green speckled bubble tip anemone ad it was doing fine,bubbled up nice, then I had bought a peppermint shrimp for aipstatia think I spelled that wrong, but anyways now my anemone barely has any tentacles and started to lose color had to move it to my nuvo 8 gallon tank. any ideas on this?

Peppermint shrimp have been know to eat hammer corals, I prefer not to keep them.

my neighbor had pepermint shrimp that ate his high dollar acans. lol they sat there and pulled pieces off right in from of him as if teasing. :) he wasn't able to keep acans and a couple other tasty lps until he caught them.

not sure about them with nems.... i had a decorator crab that decided it wanted to tear apart one of my bta's. that crossed the line with me... it was banished to the sump and then sold....

Peppers are evil. That is one crazy decorator crab! I had one with an eagle eye on it, but yours takes the cake Jon.

Have had them go after an S. haddoni (( and if you have ever touch one, or been stung by one, you know that is a big deal )), so I will never keep them again.

I have a peppermint in my 28G tank with a small BTA, but I have never seen him get close to the nem. He comes out at night mostly and besides, my huge Maroon female clownfish which is about 3 inches defends the nem!
