Persistent biofilm

I also feel like if I turned the pumps up any more, it would harm my corals and fish.
You want to have a wide flow but not direct. Turn up the flow, monitor livestock for a couple of days and move whatever retracts is unhappy and re locate. You won't harm any fish, they will love a current that alternates from strong/medium/low. Some coral are delicate and require calmer waters where others love a good blast. Any new coral i add in my display i don't fix it in place until i see how it looks after a few weeks. If all looks good then it gets fixed to that location
