Ph? Ca reactor

Ok so i have been running a diy reactor last 2 months ph runs about 6.5-6.7. Ok now my question i put a better meida today and added almost a bag zeo mag wich is about 5" of reactor total 3 feet tall but now my ph out of reactor is 9.2 an tank ph is only 7.9 what gives

Same thing here, my pH was very stable until I added neomag now my pH jumps up all the time.
