ph question..

My ph b4 going to sleep AT 10pm is always around 8.10 then when i get up its always 7.7 is that a bad swing overnight?
im topping off with kalk and not sure how to keep it up and level.. Does it really matter that ph swings like that

I wouldn't worry too much. Its probably normal and most likely from extra CO2. Here's a few reads for ya on it.

mine swings the same way, i would so pretty normal. as long as the fish and corals look happpy i wouldnt try to chase ph.

What are you measuring it with? If it's not a calibrated meter, your readings may be off a bit.

Mine does the same thing. I wouldn't worry about it if all your water parameters are good.

That's normal... i've been told by the pro's you should keep your ALK in check and just let your PH float in those parameters and you will be ok. Because if your ALK is good, PH will be also.

OK great my alk is 9.5 so it stays around that level and everything in tank is perfect.

Tight cal is a little high at 460 and mag 1300 phos.02 and nitrates still a little high at .10

whatelse..hmmm sailfin poops everytime he sees me (dont know y) think he gets excited that im about to feed..
just had to throw that in there

well im bout to order a apex so i can control the dosing pumps,i left the calc on for 2 hours where it wasnt suppose to be 22 minutes...lucky it was calcium not alk..
I gotta get this dosing down.. cause its a pain in the but till i figure it out..

I can't wait to try them (sps). That's why i've been studying dosing and water parameters. But i've read with a small nano tank I may be able to get away with frequent water changes with a high quality salt mix.

nice i have a few more frags then the video i have postes under here,but trying to keep every thing steady u wann see a messy sump
