I've struggled keeping my sand white since setting this tank up, the diatoms are slowly getting better and better in time but they were bad when I first got it. I love the conchs, they're such a cool invert to watch.
For sure man, they kinda are though :)

I'm in the same boat as you Brett. I'm constantly raking the sand-bed because the powerheads blow it around so much. I keep telling myself that the sand bed will settle in and the powerheads will stop blowing it around once corals grow in. I keep getting bare spots at the front of my tank. Oh well, I guess it's one of the trade-offs with not going bare-bottom.
I'm contemplating going BB. but the problem is the BTA's might use the glass to walk around the tank. I might just add more sand since I'm probably down to less than 1" of sand. LoL

Here's a cool story about the cardinals. My first order of nine is down to three most of which came in either DOA or didn't last the night. Live aquaria credited my account for the losses and a week later a trio came up on Diver Den and I used the credit towards the trio. The trio came in with one DOA and I lost another before I finished acclimation. The third one died the next day. So now I'm down to three, two are solid fish eating like champs and the other sits in the corner and won't eat at all. At this point LA has gave me credit for every loss and Im a happy customer, then I wake up this morning and both of my orders have been refunded back to my credit card. That's some amazing customer service if you ask me.

100% agree. Good to hear about LA's customer service. The fish I've bough from L.A. in the past arrived healthy and beautiful so I never had to worry about their guarantee, but it's nice to know they stand behind it.

I took a full tank shot tonight but didn't load it to the computer yet. I haven't done a video in a long time, I need to do that. I'm not leaving the couch till the Cowboys game is over. LOL
