Ph8's 225 build

Little peak in the QT. The CB has been in there a while along with a bi color fox face. The Regal has only been with me since Saturday but so far so good. Wish me luck.

Nice Brett. Wishing you luck.

Thanks Brad, he's doing well so far and is eating frozen food well today.

Very nice! Awesome to see a 75 page thread two years old! Nice setup!

Thanks, I dont update as often as I used to but its mostly cause taking pictures frustrates me. Ill try not to be such a slacker :)

Very nice Brett, I'd like to try a Regal but I'm hesitant with my clams.

thanks Chris, yeah I may need to rehome my little clam. Priorities I guess. Im definetely a fish guy first though, im surprised I dont run a FO.

I have fish envy. Good luck!

Thanks Gabe, I think LADD gave me a little head start this time. Hopefully its enough. Now they got a yellow belly on there today, should I make a pair. Just kidding, my wife would kill me.

new babies, going into the smaller QT. I didnt want to use the flash on them yet so the pic is dark, Ill get some better ones as they settle in. Also got a E. gravieri (red sea mimic blenny), no pic yet but google it theyre awesome.

C.lunatus and C. cf.lanceolatus

I'LL have to look up that red sea blenny. Nice looking guys above too. I just picked up 2 new guys as well.

Thanks Brad, I can't wait to see them under some lights. The lunatus is a beauty even in the dark.

Congrats on the new fish Brett. Exciting time for wrasse-geeks! :)

Nice Brett!

The lunatus is the Philippine variant; different from the Japanese variant, and also the one which hybridizes with the cf. lanceolatus.

Also interesting, is C. squirei looks exactly like that Philippine lunatus, just instead with yellow fins.

My pintail (cf. lanceolatus) arrived Saturday. One you might recognize from a Vargas photo ;).

Thanks man, all the good stuff comes out this time of year, which is terrible timing but I couldn't help myself.

Thanks Hunter, the similarities between these two are crazy and they seem to be best buddies. Very pretty fish though, I'm happy to have them. It's cool that they're from the Philippines, Id imagine the water temp there matches my tank a little better than Japan. I'm not too excited about squirei but brunneu looks pretty cool. I'd love to see some C. blatteus too. For now though Im out of QT space :)

Looking good!!
How's the cbb doing?

I just lost mine for unknown reasons. He was eating pellets flake and mysis. And poof just disappears one day??

Thanks Turbo, the CBB is doing great. Him and the regal like to fight over food now, they're both going through 4 weeks of copper right now before they hit the DT. The other QT I decided to use hypo but I've got too many fish now to not be as careful as possible. Everybody seems to be handling things well so far. I'm gonna try my best to pull my Lavender tang before they go in cause Im pretty sure he's not gonna give them a warm welcome. Sorry to hear yours disappeared, the 3 Chelmon species have always been my favorite fish.

Hey Brad, everybody is still in QT. I lost the mimic blenny, he just would never eat anything and came in with ich pretty bad. Both QT systems are running full strength copper at this point and everybody else is doing really well. The regal is a big pig and is getting more and more aggressive during feeding time. I haven't taken any pics lately cause honestly the tank could use some cleaning. Hopefully I'll find some time soon to get some work done.

Hey Brett. Can't believe I didn't find your thread over here until now. Hopefully everything makes it through copper and out of QT soon. I commend you for sticking to the QT regimen and getting your fish healthy before throwing them into the display. Especially when you have so many nice specimens in there that I am sure you can't wait to see in the display.

Have you got any better pics of the Lunatus and cf Lunatus? I have seen these starting to come in more and more and they look like beautiful wrasses.

Glad to hear on the regal, sorry about the blenny. Can't wait till your done with the qt. I lost both my emperor angel and mimic tang back to back, but my mag foxface is getting fatter and better looking. Merry Christmas btw to you and your family if i don't talk to ya.
